Tim van Emmerloot

About me

leidschendam, Netherlands

Tim started drumming at age 9. He studied drums at different music schools. At the age of 13, Tim went to study drums at Drumschool Voorburg and followed lessons by Paul Reijenga. In 2016 he started following coaching lessons at the Groove-Impact Academy given by Juan van Emmerloot, drum lessons given by Matthijs de Ridder and Milan Pestel and followed music theory lessons given bij Robin Meerkel. In the summer of 2017 Tim started composing and producing his own songs, which will later be released as a solo debut EP. After getting more involved in jazz music he started composing music related to modern jazz. These compositions can be heard by a jazz trio he, and recognised jazz pianist Sergio Abdoelrahman, founded: The Simio Jazz Trio. They soon recorded their debut EP 'Delusional' which will be released under jazz label New Jazz Adventure August 1st 2018 and was recorded June 9th at Vanmerloot Music Pros.

This is a journey to finding ourselves again in this hectic world, so that we can go the way we came to this earth: With innocence, peace and joy. A quite, pacing groove creates the feeling of peace. In the transition, time passes and you came to realize you have lost touch. This journey can be scary, dark, hectic and quite sad, all the while it holds a certain peace, determination and beauty. Pursue this journey to come at peace. It is then when you can say, I am whole, I am at peace.
