In many ways this piece came after a long year of diverse separations and an existing atmosphere of instability. I find it so difficult to capture authentic feelings and deep emotions without the outcome being too elevated. I have asked 2 musicians: Dany Ahmad is a guitarist I have been cooperating. Never before has making music together felt like we are taking one and the same breath. Christian Grothe is also a long known, estimated musician. The two form a duo. While it indeed is imperfect, I believe it captures a momentary deep musical encounter.
