I'm a french / german guitarist, songwriter and producer living in the Netherlands. I love the use of big atmospheric sounds combined with rootsy acoustic stuff. I also play Mandolin, Bass and Banjo.

'A Better World’ is written with hope and gratitude for the world we have, and also for the potential we have to make a better world. As the lyrics say; ‘Thank you for all that is good, for the hope, that we can build a better world’ The song also asks deep questions as our planet suffers from our actions, asking ‘is there another earth we can escape to?’ The poetic spoken-word part of the song refers to the ‘world between worlds’, where pain and suffering can be transmuted to love and transformation, through courage, gratitude and hope. With a soundtrack created by Sasha Shlain, and words, melodies and vocals from Heather Ella Rose, as well as guitars by Jan Schroeder this music was a pleasure to create together. It is a true Beyond Music collaboration spanning several countries and encompassing different musical approaches.MORE LESS
Treasures *Close your eyes, can you feel the warmth under your feet? Can't you hear the heart of the earth beating into you? There's an energy that's surrounding you, you're a part of the Universe. And if you find the way to see trough the mystery of the Creation, the treasure must come to you. *MORE LESS

The song talks about the relationship with our planet and expresses the wish to go back to the start and begin again. Just like a love relationship that has hit a hard time and you wish you could start over and get past the old hurt. 'What will remain when the cold winds blow the leaves away? In the pouring rain. Will we find love, can we begin again?'MORE LESS
We are living in a unique time that reminds us just how much humanity is depended upon the nature of our planet. We are experiencing a very strange time with a world pandemic, which changed everything . for us, humans it turned everything we knew upside down. however, the world ls id not just us, and nature, seams to be stronger than ever. This song came to me one morning while I was looking through my window at the amazing power of nature's awakening from winter to spring. The strong colors and sweet sent of blossoming flowers, the buzzing sounds of bees and other insects , birds singing and flying about. It seamed to me like nature is having a party without human kind, and loving it. there is something so simple and so strong in the cycle of nature, and we tried to portray that also with the simplicity of the song, that got a beautiful musical wrapping.MORE LESS
This music is born in Africa, it grows in Europe but it carries the global and urgent call that today sounds in the voices of children all over the world. Children claiming their own futures manifest themselves publicly as adults, demanding of us a greater and deeper reflection on the impacts that each attitude today will have tomorrow for everyone. Children who postpone school because they understand that without water school does not make sense. Children who grow up to re-teach us to love and preserve Nature. Girls and boys who are authentic hymns to Life, and who represent huge "open eyes" full of that hope that adults lost while growing up. Little beings who recognize their main mission from an early age, and who surrender to a perfect harmony with all beings and with Nature.MORE LESS
Anat: This collaboration started from Sasha's beautiful and very expressive music. When I heard it, the main feeling that came up is - repent. We take so many things for granted in our lives, our health, freedom, wellbeing, and sometimes, only when it's taken away we realize that. Our planet is not solely ours, and it seams we have forgotten that we are only guests here, and we cannot use and abuse it without care. I'm hopeful that men & womenkind, will wake up, and start listening to what our planet is trying to tell us.MORE LESS
Sasha: In many Native American cultures, women were viewed as extensions of the Universal Mother , and therefore vital to the continuation of their people. I found it extremely inspiring. They refuse to separate themselves from the land as (by they definition) nobody can own the land - you can only belong to land. They are the people that never gave up on protecting Mother Earth, and treating with respect Mother Nature… Now it’s our time to learn form them their profound loving relationship with the land, water, sky, sun and all living creatures on this beautiful planet - our Mother Earth. ... Very simple and warm melody accompanied by acoustic guitar is almost like a song to a child, and with soft flute and harmonica sounds - very comforting and relaxing. Theresa: The song , Our Precious Mothers, is a song I wrote to honor all mothers who give their children the unconditional love, support and guidance in their lives., as our Grate Mother Earth that continues to provide for us. Although she goes through so much , so many struggles, she continues to stay strong and provide. It’s a very important message for the people that we need to take care of our precious mothers and our mother the earth. Sasha composed the beautiful instruments to accompany a beautiful message for the people.MORE LESS
It takes a whole village to raise a child is what they say. Same could be said about this song. After Kate sent the lyrics and initial melody idea to Elly everbody that joined in helped build the song up to the warm, safe place it is now. And this is exactly what the world can be. A place where everbody helps build our grand home up to be the warm, safe place we all deserve.MORE LESS
