Nature Has Decided (Nature Has Decided (Niza Simukonda, Rodry-Go, Nolita Golding, Alex WIlson)
It all began when Niza in the city of Lusaka, Zambia reached out to Alex in Erlenbach, a village in Switzerland, via the platform Beyond Music in order to suggest a collaboration. Alex was immediately struck by Niza’s artistic presence and the quality of his voice and they soon started to discuss possible concepts. It being the time of COVID, they decided upon the theme “Nature Has Decided”, recognising that humanity was currently going through an “ego check”, keeping many people at home and restricting their travel, work and personal activities. Niza managed to make it into a studio and recorded a vocal idea with guitar accompaniment, which leapt out of Alex’s studio speakers and the train was set in motion. Colombian vallenato seemed to fit like a glove … vocalist, rapper and percussionist Rodry-Go was brought on board along with impressive Soulful Latin vocalist, Nolita Golding who is based in London and of mixed Tenerife-UK heritage. Suddenly there were lyrics and melodies flying around in three different languages - Bemba, Spanish and English - and after a great deal of creative sweat the track began to come to life! This is a unique collaboration and a direct result of our participation in the Beyond Music platform, for which we are grateful. The connection has now been made, art has been created and who knows where it will take us next! We hope you enjoy the fruits of our endeavours and our statement to the world.
