TO LIGADO EM VOCE (I'm connected to you)

This is a song in Portuguese. We work on the theme of individual transformation to generate conscious and collective change. So in the lyrics we emphasized a conversation with oneself, with one's own heart, with one's integrity. To then be able to transfer that idea to society. When the song says "I'm connected to you" it refers to the connection with your own heart, soul and spirit.

Songbird

Last May, thousands of people gathered in London in solidarity with the people of Palestine. I was one them - all around me, women were chanting, waving flags, calling for a resolution of the conflict. In that moment, my thoughts went to all the women around the world living in territories torn apart by war where, often, the political sphere is male dominated and women are not allowed to express their political and social views. 'Songbird' is dedicated to all the oppressed women around the world, hoping for their voices to be heard.

Ahí va.

The song talks about people who have a passion and a gift but have not yet used or taken advantage of it. It is inspired by a family member who wants to change his life but is not yet encouraged, there is the conflict. Where you can see the struggle with yourself, the resistance and the mixed emotions. From a musical point of view, the conflict can also be seen in the vocal melody inputs. It never rhythmically enters logical or predictable places. The music is a fusion of different ethnic styles between Argentine, Brazilian and African rhythms.

San Martín 54

San Martin 54 is a music inspired by a house in a town in Argentina where I lived some time ago. Getting away from the city, was at that time, a search to try to clear up the conflicts that, in my opinion, modern life entails ... the way of relating to things, and to people. The music has some polyrhythms and rhythmic displacements, which at times seem to “fight”. At the end of the song, the flute, guitar and percussion improvise, one on top of the other, generating points of clash between musical ideas.

Waqt ka Nazrana

Since the topic is 'Conflict', The lyrics describes two state of minds under the same situation. For example, When a dear one is lost untimely or suddenly due to some reason not caused naturally due to old age but some other cause by a disease like Cancer, Covid or Accident etc. We became directionless and blame it on the time or we say this Bad time is a Gift of time for us in a sarcastic way. However under the same situation we find help and support from unexpected and unknown persons. We say this a Gift of Time in a positive way.

This song talks about the communion of Latin American rhythms with African music, and the strong influence that Africa has had on our music. Latin America, as a diverse continent without borders, is one, and in it, the roots of ancestral African cultures flourish. The music, as usual, acts as an integrating element between cultures, telling us we share a common history that embrace us, the history of mankind.
