About me

London, United Kingdom

I'm an actor, writer, screenwriter, director and producer. I was a chorister at school and got to sing solos in York Minster. I busked around Europe after I left school and for many years as a student I played in various bands. To start with, mostly cover versions and then mainly original songs written by me and fellow band-members. I love the feeling of making music together, of improvising and performing.
A few years ago I acted in a musical film called "Walking on Sunshine", which made me want to sing again! Such fun to do cover versions of old 1980s pop songs.
I spend most of my year on the west coast of Scotland now and am wanting to learn more Scottish folk songs.
I play passable guitar, but had to relearn a few years ago after I broke a few fingers on my left hand. I have had to learn to forgive myself for not being able now to play as well as I used to, but realise it is not about being a virtuoso, it is purely about creating music, however simple. That is the joy...

Seize The Day

‘Seize The Day’, written during lockdown by actor and musician Greg Wise, is sung by Heather Ella Rose with backing vocals by Marshall Muze, Bass by Neipesmit, piano by Juan Barallobres and produced by Lucas Avellina. This song is about the importance of appreciating and loving life, even when the day or the time you’re in is hard. It’s a folk type song that starts out small, but widens out to take in the change we are now facing - a whole new ordering of things - social injustice, the financial system, and the state of our planet.
