Natu Wo

In 'Natu Wo', we are expressing how worrying and disturbing the unequal access to electricity for many impoverished parts of the world is. We are deeply concerned that communities can't grow to their full potential. Women and Children are left behind in the development of the human intellect. Basic human needs become a luxury when electricity in the 21st century cannot be accessed. Especially in Africa struggling children have big dreams. Turn on the lights for the poor and break down the barriers to opportunity!

Shadows Full Of Light

Uncertainties and unlike poles create movement and response giving the need for the attempt at resolution, life, reason and purpose, without which we would be inanimate, lifeless and have no energy. A great factor that makes us human is the ability to decide to indulge or not, the interplay between being held back by our fears and inner capacity to proceed brings about this conflict that gives us the ability to analyze, take stock make records and to learn. Conflict then is a neutral thing, we decide how to use it.

Reality

In movies, novels and news, War, for lack of a better word is "exciting" if not romanticized. We tend to forget that real bones are broken, real people die, several families are separated, people become refugees, and several people's lives are scarred forever including innocent children Dyllann is an internally displaced person due to the war in Cameroon and as we wrote the song, the conflict between Israel (Anat's Country) and Palestine had just escalated. We need an emergency response to save the planet. The song TIKA WE is a powerful call to action to address this situation. Everyone can take little steps to save the earth. "We must not waste water and avoid the use of plastic. Moreover, we must plant more trees and encourage people to not pollute the environment". Our blind assault on the planet has now come to alter the fundamentals of the living world. It is up to us to fix the problem before it is too late. The African meaning of the word TIKA is "Wonder of Life "

MANTRA (Hymn to the Mother Earth)

MANTRA' is an offering to Mother Earth, who is the foundation of all things. It talks about human actions to be cultivated to protect the planet. We have many environmental issues, but in the current scenario, when the world is still struggling to combat Covid 19 with many human lives lost, what we all need to do is to adopt a holistic approach towards living life, a lifestyle that exists in synchronization with nature. Additional artists from Nandighosha Group: Bruno Steffen: Arrangement, Vivek Bhurtun: Tabla, Rätus Flisch: Double Bass.

World Is Learning

Thinking in this current moment that we are all going through, inspires me to compose this song. Since our nature manifested itself as never before, we as human beings must reflect on the care of our planet. Believing in these two musicians Andreas Bernitt and David Stauffacher give fresh air to this music, with no lyrics, with this universal language, being able to realize that we must be united, as we always should have been, and our ultimate function in the world is to forgive it.

A cry for the children and youth of planet earth whose innocence, hopes and dreams suffer the risk of being stolen and shattered by destructive forces in societies of materialism, growing immorality, lack of family unity, racism, lack of spirituality, prejudices of various kinds and at the face of some of the gravest systematic injustices.

BASUNDHARA

“Faith, waiting in the heart of a seed, promises a miracle of life which cannot prove at once.” Kabir. There were horrific wildfires in the Amazon rain forest followed by Australia wildfires in 2019. The pictures of burnt animals were barely possible to see. But then, rain came, the fire ceased and there were pictures of new leaves, new flowers coming out of burnt bushes. These pictures were hinting the very fact that Nature has the power of creating and nurturing life. Our song is an emotional out-pour of many events in past years.”

One World

ONE WORLD is a musical journey across our planet which explores the connections between cultures, landscapes and nature. Starting in the ocean, the cradle of primordial life, flutes play duets with the songs of whales. We proceed to the beach, lulled by the sound of waves, while a sparkling layer of violin textures frolics over them. Traveling inland, we reach the jungle, and begin to hear the voices of animals and humanity. The voices carry a powerful message: We have one world, and although we are all different, we must work together.

Oud, Jazz guitar, brush-kit drums, Raq percussion, upright bass, strings and vocal, all melted together to create "Touched In A Dream" a piece that transcends cultural and language barriers, to speaks directly to the heart. I can't say much about it, as I believe that true art and music needs no introduction. Just listen with your bones, and it'll reflect to you that profound feeling. Cheers, Beshar

‘Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness. Soldiers! in the name of democracy, let us all unite!’ From ‘The Dictator’ by Charlie Chaplin.

Nothing hurts more than being betrayed by the one you love. Going through the pain of a heartbreak, a woman wonders whether she can forgive. In West Africa, griots use Kora to tell stories of wisdom, at night. The beautiful kora translates the emotions of love, sadness, and doubts of our heroin, kept awake at night by the reminiscence of her lover's betrayal. The magical violins elevate the intensity of the song by carrying her dilemma. The tale is told in French and in Lingala (Congo) and was recorded in West Africa at night.
