ABOUT ME

I’m a Syrian Vocalist and musician based between Paris, France and the Middle East.
Back in Damascus, i was a member and soloist in the "Al Farah Choir" and during my studies in the National Conservatory on classical Flute, i was introduced to Jazz and participated with several fusion Syrian Groups as a singer.
After moving to France in 2009, I had the chance to study Jazz at the conservatory of Paris that influenced my personal musical identity that is based on modern Arabic music and helped me reapply Arabic language through Jazz. Today I’m in the process of releasing my debut Album “Youmma” soon to be released in 2018.

Youmma-يُمٌا
This song had been written upon a personal experience of loss, an attempt to transform darkness into light, to ''celebrate'' life while this world is becoming full of sufference and beauty at once. Sasha and I decided to collaborate because we both have curiosity for music on a human and artistic level, it has been a pleasure to work with someone with such efficiency and energy!
