Hymn
This song is written and produced by Mauro Lazzaretto (Italy), but the contribution of the singer Sharon Ben-Zadok (Israel), who interpreted the lyrics with immense care and respect and added a Mantra in sanskrit, the feeling and the huge talent of the flautist Sandro Friedrich (Switzerland) and the traditional secrets and knowledges of the sarangi-player Yuji Nakagawa (Japan) allowed to create a brand new blend of many identities, a glue keeping four worlds together. The song is about the endless ways our planet is speaking to us and our impossibility to hear that voice, unless we open our mind and not just our ears. A warning, but also a hymn of hope.

Banyan Tree
The banyan tree, also known as the tree of life, is a significant multicultural symbol. Almost wherever it's found, deep meaning is attached to it. It appears in Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam and almost every world religion. Buddha is said to have sat under a banyan tree for seven days after he attained enlightenment. It is venerated in India, and in Hinduism it is associated with the fulfillment of wishes. The banyan tree is mentioned in many scriptures as a tree of immortality, and it is truly a cross-cultural link between us all. Our song features the voice of Sharon Ben-Zadok, who adds her own special touch to the banyan tree story, singing in Hebrew as well as English. Backing track: iZaya, Uganda Vocal melody and flutes: Sandro Friedrich, Switzerland Lyrics in English: Kate Northrop, USA/Switzerland Vocals and additional lyrics in Hebrew: Sharon Ben-Zadok, Israel

"When you will get to my house To the melodies of my love I'll open my door for you ..I'll give you my heart " It is a love song that I wrote, describing the deep love between me and my soul who yearns to fulfill its destiny without fear and trust its way in this world. In the song I speak with my soul and the Creator about my journey as a singer in this world but can also be interpreted as a love song between a woman and her lover. When Sasha asked me to send him a song for the Beyond Music project, I immediately thought about this song, which for me symbolizes my deep love for singing and music and the deep gratitude that I feel for the privilege and ability to sing I was very excited by the wonderful musical arrangement of Sasha and the playing of all the great and talented musicians in the song and I would like to thank them and Beyond Music for the opportunity and privilege Thank you and sending my love, Sharon

Mama
Sasha: Spending some time researching the “Artists” section of the platform I came across absolutely fantastic voices of Sepideh, Syssi and Sharon. Touched by their beauty and power I’ve decided to create a piece that each one of them will have a part and absolute freedom of expression. Basically it stands on improvisations of the ladies and a melody that I have written as a “child song” inspired by the conceptual idea of “the mothers voice as the first human voice we all hear”. As this voices maybe vary from place to place - they are all creating the same feeling in us - love. This is our take on it. Please - enjoy.

I’ve asked Sharon to send me something that she think can be used for a collaborative work. After few days she send me this extremely interesting combination that representing her both cultural backgrounds. This chants - Yemenite (but in Hebrew!) and Indian (for the love of God) I couldn’t yet hear only in one place - the church…. So now we all can :)
