“Soile” is a solo work for Qobyz (kobyz), which is a kazakh traditional instrument coming from old shamanistic culture. The main goal of the composition was to expand the timbre specter of the instrument, and let the audience look at this from a different point of view. Qobyz, the instrument made of wood and camel skin, has two horsehair strings. Owing to this unique feature, a large range of harmonics appear.
