Currency of Men is a bluesy song I wrote for Savage the Musical and is streaming on our self produced EP. Vivienne, who is a burlesque dancer in the 1920s, has climbed the entertainment ladder by sleeping around, the only option available to her. Women didn't have many choices in the 1920s and we were just starting to hear their voices. She comments on what she has done, but also how it is tearing her up inside.
