“Chalou” is a love song I wrote and co-composed with my friend Abdelhadi El Rharbi , The word “Chalou”meaning his scarf or shawl, is a versatile garment. In Berber and African desert cultures, the shawl is much more than just a piece of clothing: it can be a precious gift, a headdress etc .Translation:"He gave me his shawl, a unique shawl, filled with his perfume, vibrating with his melodies. When it found its place on my head, sleep fled my eyes. How could I forget him, who haunts my eyelids and lives in my breath, in every fiber of my being?
