North of Syria is a place where many cultures meet (Arabic - Kurdish - Syriac - Iraqi - Anatolian). They have a specific rhythm called Georjina. I use this rhythm in my compositions beside using Arabic scale which fits with western music (Nahawand/ C minor - Ajam/ C Major - Hijaz on G / Second tetra-cord/ C minor harmonic).
