Adam Lenz
I'm a composer working primarily with electronics. I also teach electronic composition, sound art, and sound design at The Hartt School at University of Hartford. Since 2013, I've worked with Robert Wilson as a composer, music supervisor, and consultant on works for radio, theater, and special events at The Watermill Center. My work has been presented at Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM), Teatrul Naţional "Marin Sorescu," Festivalul Naţional de Teatru, Cankarjev Dom, Platonov Arts Festival, Goldsmiths, New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, Boston University Art Galleries, and other venues in Japan, Germany, Iceland, Mexico, the UK, The Netherlands, the US, and online.

Our collaboration tells the story of a woman who feels empowered by her own strength and abandons the shame others try to put on her. We have blended the sounds of contemporary Xhosa music with a mystical instrumental and electronic accompaniment. We hope others will feel pride in themselves and find the strength to walk with such purpose too.
