This song was written for a friend of mine, whose name was not Adeline. In fact, his name did not sound beautiful at all when sung. And so it was, I humbly asked my friend Adeline if I could use her name in a song and she accepted. The song is about a friend, who seeks to see the worst in themselves and the world around them. It is a song to tell them that they are beautiful and loved as a friend and sarcastically calls them my "little ray of sunshine" as I do in jest when they get overly angry and critical of a subject.
