"Khamaj" is a musical collaboration between acoustic guitar and sarod (traditional Indian classical musical instrument) developed from the Afghani 'rebab,' in which the melody is based on Raag 'Khamaj.' A 'raag' is an Indian Hindustani music scale comprising of a definite set of notes ; however the ascending notes and descending notes may not be the same. This is a demonstration of a western instrument (guitar) combining with a traditional India musical instrument (sarod) to produce a unique and distinct musical sound.
