Though I've never thought of myself as a particularly political person, sometimes things happen in this world and as creators I think it's important we speak out. It's essential we speak truth to power. And sometimes it feels like it's all we can do. I wrote this song during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. I was outraged. I was sad. I was scared, but as a woman, I would no longer be silent.
