This is a musical fairy tale, a magical story told by piano, violin, alto and cello. Drawing inspiration from the great musical story-tellers of 19th century romantic music (such as Schumann or Brahms) this recording is a trip through many musical landscapes, starting with energetic, lively melodies. Then the piano engages in a melancholic rhapsody, only to give way to a fiery swing jazz conversation between violin and alto. Finally the tune finishes off in the same buoyant mood of the beginning.
