Cutty Wren

Originally written and performed as the retelling of a hunt in the English country-side sometime in the 13th century, a photocopy of this piece was originally brought to us by our guitarist one day. The melody was 20 measures long, and had no explicit harmony or tempo. Despite the lack of directions that we could find, we were inspired by the relentless and captivating melody, that seemed to connect one half to the other, over and over, with each repetition increasing the intensity. The entire arrangement was done verbally, shortly we recorded.
