In 2020, my mom died. I was devastated, and still am. But it was also a moment to decide what I wanted my life to look like going forward. Now without both my parents, it was time to focus only on who I want to be and what I truly wanted. This song was born from that reflection. I'm no longer doing what I’m 'supposed' to do, especially as a woman. I’m choosing to live this life as I desire and on my own terms (mistakes and all). this is my declaration to live my life in joy and freedom, all with a dash of a dance beat.
