”Palle alone in the world” is a very old story that all Danish children know. The Italian director Giacomo Ravicchio staged this story with beautiful puppets. I composed this piece about the loneliness of the little boy Palle who discovers, after having wanted it too much, that he is suddenly alone on earth and that there is no one left to play with. I have been composing regularly for puppet shows for more than 20 years. It is a very particular musical writing execrice. A puppet only comes to life if we give it enough space and if we take care that our artistic or technical intentions do not take too much space. There is a particular place of neutrality where the magic can operate and this body made of fabric and wood, suddenly is alive and able to speak to us about ourselves! I recently released a (digital) album "MARIONNETTE'S TRILOGY" gathering several of these musics that I composed these last years (on AppleMusic, Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz, etc.)
