The Tune Recreation Committee (TRC) has long held a presence in the Cape Town music scene. Formed in 2007 by a group of college friends, the TRC is an ever changing, adaptable ensemble committed to building a musical bridge between the past, present and future. The TRC takes original tunes and reinvents nods from their influences to embracing vibrant underground music scene of drum and bass to balkanology. The T.R.C is the playground for the interrogation, assimilation and extended extemporization from the canon of South African jazz heritage.
