I created this improvised game piece called Turkey, after the tendency of the wild turkeys in Zion National Park to suddenly appear and interrupt the actions of visitors in the valley of Zion Canyon on a regular basis. This piece was written with Thread Ensemble in mind, and was performed on April 15, 2016, at a concert celebrating the Centennial of the National Park Service.
