Joined by the immaculate talents of Miriam Liske-Doorandish (cello) and Michael Ferri (violin), this is a snippet from a long-form improvised jam series that we maintained as Artists in Residence at Performance Space 21 in upstate NY during NextFest. It became a cathartic routine to sneak off during the night into a nearby secluded barn, light a small candle, and improvise together, after a long day of orchestra rehearsals and seminars. We were often joined by other musicians, as well as a single wolf spider who lived in the barn.
