La Esperanza

This song was written after returning from the US/Mexico border in Tornillo, TX, Dec 2018, where people came from all around, during the holiday season, to protest and witness the placement of immigrant children a detention camp. Needing to reflect on the enormity of this tragic circumstance, I later sat by a pond and also witnessed, how nature supports itself, works together and is at peace. The song emerged from my wonder at seeing something so beautiful, so profound in its gentle simplicity. The song is written for all ages, all people.
