This piece is inspired by and dedicated to frogs! I wanted to write a repeating bassline that provided a lot of musical buoyancy, while also leaving lots of space for a playful melody to hop around in 5/4 meter. I wanted each element of the arrangement to indicate an element of motion, whether it be the major/minor 10th interval jumps in the bassline, the care-free croon of the cello melody, or the rhythmically dense, yet gentle-flowing electric guitar.
