The pop song describes the (true) story of a little Maasai girl who was abandoned by her mother in the steppe of Tanzania immediately after her birth. If she had not been found by chance, she would certainly not have survived the next hours. After a short stay in hospital, the little girl was taken into the care of a German couple who live in Tanzania as development workers and who will adopt the girl in the near future. Me & the team met the little girl with her new parents and we were so inspired by the story that we wrote Daydream.
