This is the first piece that I have worked on, it’s called new day because it was a new day to put myself in a hard work to do something for my band (Trico). It was such a lovely day, the sun was shining, it felt very optimistic to write a piece like that. It shows the flamenco inspiration I had in the first 2 years of my study at Codarts Conservatory, NL. The experiencing of composing flamenco music that can let the Oud join the guitar in “Tangos” form. This was the first step in exploring with the Oud out of the transitional Arabic music.
